DETAILS
The use of the blue color on the label indicates the use of spring water from the source of the river Sile, a path of water that flows from the Carnic Alps through the underground rocks rich in mineral salts, which lead to the root of the spring and continue in the brewery.
This allows to obtain a water with a mineral and organoleptic composition suitable for brewing “Iride“, the right balance between fullness of body and fresh floral aromas.
This gift is mainly due to the dissolved salts, which in combination with the organic malts used and organic hops grown in the central southern part of Bavaria, make sure that there is the right balance between the sweetness of the cereal and the citrus scent of hops.
Upon the second tasting sip, one can distinguish the higher alcohols and the esters produced by the fermentation of the yeast.
Iride was born from the experience of the brewer Michieletto Stefano, graduated from the brewing school DIEFFE, nationally recognized and, after many tests on a pilot plant SIMATEC, he found the right recipe for a fresh beer, without components of animal origin, vegan and gluten free.
This beer uses as ingredients a precious quality of barley malts and organic hops of European origin, united in the production process with local spring water.
Iride is an amber-orange beer, which should be served on a tall and narrow glass at a service temperature between 8-9 degrees.
When it is poured, it produces a medium-grained cream-colored foam, it is advisable to pour in two bars and taste when the foam is compact.
By the smell you can feel hints of malt and a hint of chestnut honey, the inserted noble hops also merge the notes of grapefruit.
Tasting corresponds to a taste of sweet malt, notes of toasted almonds and mineral sapidity, slightly astringent with a very low alcoholic note, remains a bitter pomegranate on the finish.
It goes very well as an aperitif with stuffed canapés, light pasta dishes and pizza with cheese, especially pumpkin and morlacco.
This beer, Made In Italy, is absolutely Artisanal, unfiltered, not pasteurized and refermented in the bottle. It could leave a light deposit of yeast on the bottom that only indicates its genuineness.
